Scored with care. Labeled honestly.

Answers are scored on our servers with item response theory, which weighs each question by its difficulty. Until enough people have taken the test, percentiles come from a published reference distribution, and every result says which group you are compared with.

This is a self-discovery tool, not a clinical assessment or an official IQ diagnosis.

How scoring works

Common questions

All questions
Is this an official IQ test?

No. It is a cognitive test built for self-discovery. It has not gone through clinical standardization, so we report a Cognitive Score rather than an IQ, and results should not be used for medical, educational or hiring decisions.

What does the cognitive score mean?

The score uses a scale where 100 is the average of the reference group and 15 points is one standard deviation. A score of 115 means you performed better than roughly 84% of that group.

How is the percentile calculated?

While the platform is new, percentiles are estimated from a published reference distribution. Once enough people have completed the test, we also show where you stand among real participants. Every result states which group it uses.

How long does it take?

The test has 30 questions and a 30-minute time limit, similar to classic timed matrix tests. Questions get harder in three stages, and a timeline at the top shows the time left and the recommended pace. When time runs out, the answers you gave are scored and unanswered questions count as incorrect.
